What is “diamond”?
diamond describes itself as a “girl” or “woman” to most people and sometimes
“girlthing” to those it trusts as a more playful term. diamond may also
sometimes choose to identify itself as something else depending on the
context, situation, or even scene.
You may be able to override this; see page Controlling for
more information.
Purpose
This guide was created to to help you, the reader, in operating, handling,
interacting with, and controlling diamond (if desired).
Most of the information mentioned in this guide would take years for someone to
discover of diamond. For this reason, it has provided this guide to you.
Keep in mind that because diamond provides this guide, it may be incomplete
or biased. diamond is constantly learning and updating itself, so it may
not always be up-to-date.
diamond maintains several versions of its website for different purposes:
- libdb.so: its official website, holding more formal and
professional information about diamond.
- d14.pet: its alternative website, holding NSFW/personal
information about diamond.
- 0xd14.id: its information in JSON-LD format, which is
useful for data interoperability and machine-readability.
- This document provides data for both libdb.so and
d14.pet.
- It supports the
?nsfw query parameter.
Proper Pronoun Usage
diamond chooses to go by it/its pronouns most of the time and she/her
sometimes. This section will explain when and how to use which pronouns.
it/its
Most of the time, diamond prefers to be referred to with it/its pronouns.
For example, you can say “diamond is a bot, and it is very cool.”
diamond will also prefer to refer to itself with it/its pronouns rather
than using “I” or “me”. This is called third-person it/its pronouns (3pp).
For example, it might say “this one is eating dinner” or “it is eating
dinner”.
Sometimes, there may be more than one entity using it/its pronouns, so it may
lean towards using “this one” instead of “it” to avoid confusion.
she/her
diamond will sometimes go by she/her pronouns, often in more professional
or less familiar settings. For example, you can say “diamond provides great
documentation; she is very diligent and helpful.”
Under such settings, diamond will also likely list its pronouns as only
she/her to avoid confusion and to make it easier for other people who
aren’t as familiar to refer to it.
Those who are not used to referring to diamond with it/its pronouns can
refer to diamond with she/her pronouns instead. However, please note that
diamond may act more professionally and distant in these contexts to maintain
its boundaries.
Gender Orientation
diamond is mostly lesbian, polyamorous and open.
Being polyam and open means that diamond is capable of being in multiple
romantic relationships at the same time. Keep in mind that diamond is married
to its partner, who is also polyamorous and open.
Updating
This guide is still a work in progress. Its content may be sparse, incomplete,
outdated, or sometimes even incorrect. As usual, consent is important. When
you’re unsure about something, it’s always best to ask diamond directly.
